329  | 杜亚，字次公，京兆人。肃宗在灵武，上书论当世事，擢校书郎，再迁谏议大夫，迁给事中。常衮恶之，出为江西观察使。徳宗立，召还，亚意必任台宰，倍道进，与人语，皆天下大政，或以事祈谒，辄相然可，帝知不悦，罢为陜虢观察使。兴元初，拜淮西节度使，至则治漕渠，引湖陂，筑防庸，入之渠中，以通大舟，夹堤田因得溉灌，人皆悦頼，然雅意丞弼，厌外官，往往不亲事，日夜召宾客，言噱流连，方春，南民为竞渡戏，亚欲轻驶，乃髤船底，使篙人衣油彩衣，没水不濡，观沼华邃，费皆千金，自是府财耗竭，贞元中罢归，以检校吏部尚书留守东都，病风痹且废，犹欲固宠，奏垦苑中为营田，可减度支嵗禀，诏许之。先是，苑地可耕者，皆留司中人及屯士占假，亚计窘，更举军帑钱与甸人，至秋取菽粟偿息输军中，贫不能偿者，发囷窖畧尽，流亡过半，又赂中人求兼河南尹，帝审其妄，赐还，卒王遂好兴利操，下以严，累迁邓州刺史，㑹兵宿淮西，亟财赋，藉遂干强，拜宣歙观察使。蔡已平，师东讨，李师道为检校左散骑常侍、兼御史大夫，始调兵食，嵗三百万，俄而贼诛，遂簿羡赀百万以献，帝髙其能，即拜遂沂兖海观察使，遂资褊刻，杖扑皆逾制，盛夏治署，舎墙垣，程督惨峭，禆校王弁杀之，自知留事，帝拜弁开州刺史，至徐州，械送京师，斩东市监军，上遂所制杖，出示于朝为戒云 |
