20  | 甲申，永乐城成。初兴，版筑，夏数来争，皆败去。及是毕，工使景思谊以兵四千人守之，曲珍总行营，护作楼橹，治庐舍，与李稷俱留城中。先是，西夏调民为兵，十丁取九，得三十万人，赍百日粮屯泾原之北，俟官军出塞而击之。既闻城永乐，乃引兵趋鄜延，边人来告者，前后十数，徐禧等皆不信，且曰：「贼若大至，是吾立功之秋也」。上赐禧、黄旗，曰：「将士立功受赏，当倍于米脂」。禧恐沈括分其功，谓括曰：「城畧已就矣，当与存中归延州」。括从之。乙酉，禧、括及舜举以兵八千人俱还米脂。敌骑寻自明堂川入，驻寨城侧，与夏州烽台相对，置阵无定河西，觇望官军。曲珍遣驰使报禧，禧曰：「黠羌敢送死乎！」亟引兵二万五千人往赴之，且谓括曰：「存中大帅，不可轻出。仆与李常侍上所遣，宜亟行」。舜举初不欲，禧强之，乃同往。或谓禧曰：「被诏相城，城已成矣，御冦非职也」。禧不听。 |
