己未，于德润言宜州贼尚据栁州洛容等县，上曰：「此不能离窟穴，枉自弃耳」。王旦曰：「贼若逺去，则粒食无所仰给」。冯拯曰：「人或言其趣交趾，臣以谓必不然，交趾兵甲，非贼比也，王师即至，臣恐其趋琼管，若趋管，则王师亦须持乆」。旦曰：「凶党固不能乆，且茍延晷刻之命耳」。上又曰：「象州既被围，犹有封奏，而桂州独无，若何邴真善守者」。即遣内侍史崇贵驰骑至桂州抚问曹利用等，仍令摄官入贼招谕。正史俞献卿𫝊曰：献卿为昭州推官，遇陈进乱，象州守不任事，转运使檄献卿往佐之，及至，守谋弃城，献卿曰：「临难茍免，可乎？贼至，尚当力击，击不胜，有死而已，奈何弃去？」按真宗谓何邴善守，则𫝊盖称守不任事，恐未必然也。献卿附𫝊又云「守以献卿言故止，贼亦不至」。按象州被围四十馀日，所称贼亦不至，谬妄甚矣，𫝊盖因刘敞墓志，今并不取。壬戌，上对辅臣，因言：「世宗每遣使驰𫝊，必限以晷刻，有先期而至者，皆盘旋于外，候时复命，不尔罪在不测，性虽严急，而智算雄武，当时亲征下瀛、莫，非遇疾班师，则克复幽蓟矣」。
