《本纪第二十　神宗一》

二十一年春正月甲戌，李如松攻倭于平壤，克之。辛未，王锡爵还朝。辛巳，诏并封三皇子为王，廷臣力争，寻报罢。壬午，李如松进攻王京，遇倭于碧蹄馆，败绩。二月甲寅，敕劳东征将士。夏四月癸卯，倭弃王京遁。六月丁酉，诏天下每岁夏月录囚，减释轻系，如两京例。癸卯，倭使小西飞请款。秋七月癸丑，召援朝鲜诸边镇兵还。乙卯，慧星见，敕修省。八月丙戌，以灾异敕戒内外诸臣修举实政。冬十月丙申，停刑。十二月丙辰，蓟辽总督顾养谦兼理朝鲜事，召宋应昌、李如松还。是年，振江北、湖广、河南、浙江、山东饥。河南矿贼大起。乌斯藏入贡。

吴弘济，字春阳，秀水人。希范同年进士。由蒲圻知县擢御史。连劾福建巡抚司汝济、大理卿吴定、戎政侍郎郝杰、蓟辽总督顾养谦，不纳。三王并封诏下，偕同官抗疏争。既而以论应宿、攀龙事，贬二秩调外。王锡爵等疏救，给事、御史、执政疏每上，辄重其罚，竟斥为民。未几卒。熹宗时，赠官如希范。
