秋八月庚戌，苏、松、浙江水，停本年织造。乙卯，南京地震。己未，封皇弟佑榰为寿王，佑梈汝王，佑橓泾王，佑枢荣王，佑楷申王。冬十月丙辰，以皇长子生，诏天下。戊午，河溢，振河南被灾者。乙丑，礼部尚书丘浚兼文渊阁大学士，预机务。十一月庚辰，振南畿灾。十二月甲子，土鲁番以哈密地及金印来归。是年，暹罗入贡。

按吏部尚书，表率百僚，进退庶官，铨衡重地，其礼数殊异，无与并者。永乐初，选翰林官入直内阁。其后大学士杨士奇等加至三孤，兼尚书衔，然品叙列尚书蹇义、夏原吉下。景泰中，左都御史王文升吏部尚书，兼学士，入内阁，其班位犹以原衔为序次。自弘治六年二月，内宴，大学士丘浚遂以太子太保、礼部尚书，居太子太保、吏部尚书王恕之上。其后由侍郎、詹事入阁者，班皆列六部上矣。

邱浚，字仲深，琼山人。幼孤，母李氏教之读书，过目成诵。家贫无书，尝走数百里借书，必得乃已。举乡试第一，景泰五年成进士。改庶吉士，授编修。浚既官翰林，见闻益广，尤熟国家典故，以经济自负。
