48  | 向师棣字伯常，溆浦人，诸生。同治三年，入曾文正公幕府，任以支给，出入数百万，无丝毫紊乱。曾文正公甚器之，委署上元县知县，不就。后忽遘奇疾，曾文正公虽军书旁午，日必数视之。及卒，挽以联云：「与舒严并称溆浦三贤，同蹶妙年千里足；念吴楚尚有高堂二老，可怜孝子九原心。」云云。溆浦三贤之说，在曾文正公当日，不过偶尔一言，后人竟据为典要。□□朱□□光恒，编辑《溆浦三贤诗文钞》十三卷，□□□□□□楚善书局刊本。所谓三贤者，即舒焘《绿猗轩诗文钞》六卷，严咸《受葊诗文钞》五卷，向师棣《涵古楼诗文钞》二卷。舒焘字伯鲁，山东登莱青道舒梦龄长子。严咸字秋农，通政使严正基之子。三人皆年少，以才学鸣一时，亦皆妙年同死。故曾文正公云尔，盖深为惋惜之也。 |
