三月丁亥，赐进士章衡等二百六十二人及第，一百二十六人同出身。是岁，进士与殿试者始皆不落。已丑，赐诸科三百八十九人及第。庚子，陈州言护国节度使、同平章事狄青卒。谥武襄。青为人谨密寡言，其计事，必审中机会而后发。师行，先正部伍，明赏罚，与士同塞杰按：塞，寒之误。饥劳苦，虽敌猝犯之，无一士敢后先者。故其出常有功。喜推其功以与将佐。始与孙沔破贼，谋一出青。贼已平，经制馀事，悉以诿沔，退然如不用意者。沔始服其勇，既又服其为人，自以为莫及也。
