戊子庆历八年春正月辛未，夏国主曩霄卒。曩霄凡七娶，五曰野利氏，遇乞从女也。会有告遇乞兄弟谋作乱，曩霄遂族遇乞刚浪凌、城逋等，既而曩霄悔恨，下令访遗口，得遇乞妻，与之私通。野利氏觉之，乃出为尼，号没藏大师。既娠而曩霄死。没藏，大族也，讹庞为之长。讹庞曰：『夏自祖考以来，父死子继，国人乃服。今没藏尼娠先王之遗腹，幸而生子，则可以嗣先王矣。』遂立没藏而伪号太后。曩霄既死三月，谅祚生。丁丑，参知政事文彦博为河北宣抚使，本路体量安抚使、枢密学士明镐副之。镐督诸将攻贝州城，久不下，彦博乞身往破贼，故遣彦博宣抚。先是，枢密使夏竦恶明镐，恐其成功，辄从中沮之。彦博因言：『军事愿得专行。』戊寅，诏许彦博以便宜从事。乙未，日赤无光。
