9  | 秋八月，太常博士曹修古为监察御史，孔延鲁、刘随并为左正言。延鲁初为宁州军事推官，有蛇出天庆观真武殿中，一郡以为神，州将帅官属往奠拜之。延鲁以笏击蛇，碎其首，观者莫不叹服。后知仙源县，主孔氏祠事。孔氏故多纵放者，延鲁一绳之以法。修古上四事，曰行法令、审故事、惜财力、辨忠邪，辞甚切至。甲寅，有芝生于天安殿柱，召辅臣观之。监察御史鞠咏言：『陛下新即位，河决未塞，霖雨害稼，宜思所以应灾变。臣愿陛下以援进忠良、退斥邪佞为国宝，以训劝兵农、丰积仓廪为天瑞。草木之怪，何足尚哉?』先是，钱惟演自河阳赴亳州，因朝京师，图入相。咏奏：『惟演俭人，尝与丁谓为婚姻，缘以大用。后揣知谓奸将败露，惧牵连及祸，因出力攻谓。今若遂以为相，必大失天下望。』太后遣内侍持奏示之，惟演犹顾望不行。咏语左正言刘随曰：『若相惟演，当取白麻廷毁之。』惟演闻，乃亟去。冯拯病，太后有复相王钦若意。上尝为飞白书『王钦若』字，太后因取字缄汤药合，遣中人赍以赐，且口宣召之。 |
