夏四月乙未，吴充卒。世讥充心正而力不足，知不可而不能勇退云。诏校定《孙子》、《吴子》、《六韬》、《司马法》、《三略》，《尉缭子》、《李靖问对》等书，镂板行之。戊申，御史台言：『奉诏复置六察，察在京官司。今请以吏部及审官东西院、三班院等隶吏察，户部、三司及司农寺等隶户察，刑部、大理寺、审刑院等隶刑察，兵部、武学等隶兵察，礼、祠部、太常寺等隶礼察，少府、将作等隶工察。』从之。辛酉，增国子监岁赐钱六千缗。
