二月丙申朔，诏礼部贡举，其务崇长学殖，嚅哜道真。戊戊，诏曰：『朕绍膺骏命，德不能远，致外夷之有乾；而仁弗克周，使黎元之寡遂。昊穹垂谴，彗象示妖，起于营室之躔，迫于王良之次。固已避殿减膳，亦尝下诏责躬。惟是婣蜎高拱，过失何由自知?鳏寡至微，疾苦岂能上达。伊欲遵敢言之路，必也开勿讳之门。凡在臣民，许陈章奏。忠忱者悉加奖纳，峭直者亦务优容。尚虑间阎之间，怨气满腹，囹圄之际，愤声彻霄。是用加惠群方，荡宥多辟，庶销灾异，立召冲和。可大赦天下。』辛丑，有流星昼陨，白虹贯日。癸丑，进知连水军萧均官一等，以其修举郡政，葺治城壁故也。甲辰，诏史嵩之暂赴行在奏事。戊申，诏督府、制置司、沿江南北郡举行便安流民之政凡十一条。癸丑，临安府守臣言狱空，诏奖之。以京西湖北路制置使兼知鄂州孟珙为武宁军节度使、四川宣抚使兼知夔州，节制归峡鼎澧州军马。丙辰，白气亘天。

十月辛卯朔，赠入内内侍省陈洵益昭庆军节度使。癸巳，诏以明年正月一日为淳佑元年。丙申，诏平江、嘉兴府、安吉州禁贩米下海，其贩至临安府者，毋得遏籴。寻诏赵与欢提领其事，应浙东州县并许浦金山水军一体遵守，违者权听按刺。丁酉，诏曰：『朕惟我朝以仁厚待士大夫，惟于赃吏，罚未尝少贷。比岁以来，贪浊成风，椎剥滋甚。民穷而溪壑不餍，国匮而囊橐自丰。今兹新楮之行，未必不为罔利之地。其令内而台谏，外而监司，常切觉察，其有赃状著者，必加鞫勘，悉遵建隆、淳熙典刑，断在必行，毋贻后悔。』
