十一月戊申，金将哈希自潼关出犯陕州，守臣吴琦击却之。哈希，罗索孙也。凤翔府同统制杨从仪败金人于宝鸡县。己酉，上曰：『自古为天下者必先得人心，未有专事杀伐残忍而可为者。乌珠虽强，专以杀伐残忍为事，不顾人心之失，朕知其无能为者。』福建安抚大使张浚等奏，乞措置赈济事。上曰：『赈济本为贫民，近世止及城郭，而乡村之民未尝及之。须令州县，虽僻处亦分委官吏，必躬必亲，则下户皆沾实惠矣。』乙卯，川陕宣抚副使胡世将奏已遣兵解庆阳之围。先是，庆阳围急，帅臣宋万年乘城拒守，会世将招河东经略使王忠植以所部赴陕西会合，行至延安，叛将赵惟清执忠植，使拜诏。忠植曰：『若本朝诏书则受，金国诏书，则不拜也。』惟清执之以诣敌营，敌使甲士引诣庆阳城下，谕使出降，忠植大呼曰：『我河东步佛山忠义人也，为敌所执，使来招降。愿将士勿负朝廷，坚守城壁可也!』忠植遂遇害。戊午，上曰：『用兵惟视谋之臧否，不可问力之强弱。苟谋之不臧，惟知恃力，虽或胜，亦不足以成功。』
