夏四月庚辰，诏诸州军应有刻板书籍，并用黄纸印一秩送秘书省。甲申，诏刑部将半年以上未结绝公事，行在委本部，外路委监司责限结绝。内日月稍远者，取问因依申奏，以都省言四方多滞狱也。丙戌，命太师秦桧提举制造浑仪。诏有司求苏颂遗法来上。上谓桧曰：『宫中已制成小范，可以窥测，日以晷度、夜以枢星为则。盖枢星，中星也，非久降出用以为式，但广其尺寸尔。』将作监苏籀面对，乞取近世儒臣所著经说集而成编，以补唐之《正义》遗阙。上谕秦桧曰：『此论甚当。若取其说之善者颁诸学官，使学者有所宗一，则师王安石、程颐之说者，不至纷纭矣。』丁亥，知虔州薛弼言：『江东镇民居木柱内有「天下太平年」五字，适符上元甲子之岁。此殆天启，其祥非人力所能为。』诏侍从同观，仍送史馆。
