冬十月癸丑，皇太后殿攒。有司以权制已讫，请百官以吉服行事，黄中复曰：『唐制，启攒虽在易月之外，犹曰各服其初服。今以易月故而遂吉服以殡，非礼也。』朝廷用之，于是百官常服，黑带入朝，衰服行事。辛未，雨。同知枢密院事王纶因奏事，言梓宫进发河道无浅涸之患。上因论沟洫利害云：『往年宰臣曾欲尽乾鉴湖，云岁可得米十万硕。朕答云：「若遇岁旱，无湖水引灌，即所损未必不过之。」凡虑事，须及久远也。』癸酉，同知枢密院事王纶言：『密院大事，每与三省同议。』上曰：『枢庭虽五代之制，疑太祖、太宗曾入思虑，五代弊法，祖宗扫除略尽，惟存此一二大者，必有深意。』上又曰：『大臣固不当疑，虽人告其不轨，朕亦不信。若有奸邪，即罢之，不当任而疑也。』纶曰：『自古帝王用人之道，无越于此矣!』
