五月戊寅朔，上曰：『赵希坚可差知平江府。其人情修，尽能抚摩。』先是，上以吴门择守谕辅臣，方叔奏：『平江东控海道，年来和籴，民力颇困，宜得才略善抚摩者。』至是，方叔等咸赞上知人之明。辛巳，省罢处州税官二员，置丽水县西尉。甲申，以工部尚书兼直学士院兼侍读尤焴、工部侍郎兼侍讲林彬之、国子司业兼崇正殿说书叶梦鼎为御试详定官。乙酉，御集英殿策进士。丙戌，御射殿，呈武举七射。戊午，新除直华文阁、湖北运判兼知鄂州馀晦朝辞，上曰：『西事乏人，卿可为朕一行。』晦奏：『臣资浅望轻，西事素未谙历，若冒承当，恐致误国。』上曰：『朕与宰执熟筹之，无如卿者。』
