二月癸未朔，诏礼部贡举。以郑性之知枢密院事兼参知政事，礼部尚书邹应龙为端明殿学士、签书枢密院事兼权参知政事，左谏议大夫李宗勉为端明殿学士、同签书枢密院事。甲申，李鸣复罢，以资政殿学士知绍兴府。乙酉，葛洪薨。癸巳，诏故参知政事宣缯赠太师，谥忠靖。子璧服阕日与职事官，以尝预定策元勋。又诏：『缯宝庆初元所进朕即位事始，悉本先帝遗训，可宣付史馆。』丁酉，诸王宫大小学校教授壬辰应进对，言：『蜀中宣制并建，陛下曾考订否?』上问以旧例，奏云：『乾道初，虞允文以同知枢密为四川宣抚，时汪应辰归班。开禧间，安丙在沔州，杨辅为成都制置，旋即召还。今李??宣抚在内，杨恢制置在外，号令未免牵制。』上曰：『适与辅臣言，令杨恢参替安抚矣。』奏云：『圣算及此，全蜀之幸!』己亥，屯田郎官王万进对，上曰：『卿是淮人，熟知边事。』奏云：『臣非知兵。陆贽有言：兵法无他，人情而已。但以人情区处，即是兵法。』上问其说，奏云：『一和字沮众误国。』上曰：『和亦不可废。』奏云：『若专立为题则不可，要当立为战守规模。』癸卯，诏以朱熹所著《通鉴纲目》送国子监刊进。甲辰，知庆元府赵与??［1］、知平江府王遂、知建宁府姚瑶、知常州何处信各以秤提会子进一秩。
