四月戊戌朔，左丞相吴潜罢，行谏议大夫沈炎之言也。诏：『多事之时，揆席不可暂虚。可趣似道赴阙，权令朱熠、戴庆炣分日当笔，有大政事，共议以闻。』辛丑，贾似道奏：『鄂围始解，江面肃清，宗社危而复安，实万世无疆之休。』壬寅，赵葵以病乞结局引退，从之。癸卯，御笔：『贾似道为吾股肱之臣，任此旬宣之寄，殷然殄患，奋不顾身，戎乘一临，士气百倍，吾民赖之而更生，王室有同于再造。予嘉伟绩，宜示褒纶。』令学士院降诏奖谕。乙巳，诏以边事清肃，请命元祈祷官各诣致谢。丙午，吕文德兼湖广总领。辛亥，扬州火，杜庶贬官一等。癸丑，以贾似道为少师，进封卫国公，其宣司职事令结局。朱熠知枢密院事兼参知政事，饶虎臣参知政事，戴庆炣同知枢密院事兼权参知政事，皮龙荣端明殿学士、签书枢密院事。甲寅，诏：『似道将至国门，可依文彦博例，郊劳于都城外，赐御筵及朝见后，择日对御赐宴。』似道皆辞，从之。乙卯，朝献景灵宫。丁巳，以明堂大礼，奏告天地、宗庙、社稷、宫观。诏以今年九月有事于明堂。己未，诏夏贵为保康军承宣使、左右金吾卫上将军、知淮安州兼淮东安抚副使、京东招抚使，寻赐金器币、田三千亩。乙丑，似道入见。奏：『今天下之势，保藩篱则下可保堂奥，有三边则可有内地，惟陛下念之。』
