夏四月庚寅，左领军将军赵孝祖大破白水蛮大勃律。甲午，澧州刺史、彭王元则薨。五月庚辰，诏以周司沐大夫裴融，齐侍中崔季舒、给事黄门侍郎裴泽、尚书左丞封孝琰，隋仪同三司豆卢毓、御史中丞游楚客等，并门挺忠鲠，其子孙各宜甄擢。秋七月丁巳，立陈王忠为皇太子，大赦天下，五品己上子为父后者赐勋一转，大酺三日。乙丑，左仆射于志宁兼太子少师，右仆射张行成兼太子少傅，侍中高季辅兼太子少保，侍中宇文节兼太子詹事。丁丑，上问户部尚书高履行：「去年进户多少？」履行奏称：「进户总一十五万。」又问曰「隋日有几户？今见有几户？」履行奏：「隋开皇中有户八百七十万，即今见有户三百八十万。」九月丁巳，改太子中允为内允，中书舍人为内史舍人，诸率府中郎改为旅贲郎将，以避太子名。冬十月戊戌，幸同安大长公主第，又幸高阳长公主第，即日还宫。
