28  | 太常少卿兼侍读学士林文林文字恒简，福建莆田人。宣徳，庚戌进士及第，授编修。正统初，预修《宣庙实录》，转修撰。景泰中，迁左谕徳兼侍讲，预修厯代《君鉴》及《方舆志》，进左庶子。英宗复辟，改尚寳卿，兼侍讲。未几，擢学士，以老乞休。上谓李贤曰：「文老成忠厚，宜留之」。成化初，擢太常少卿，兼侍读学士。卒，赠礼部左侍郎。子载，为中书舍人。廖道南曰：「予观《莆阳文献志》，称文年逾七十，神观精爽。安静守礼所著《澹菴集》，自成一家，乃知浑朴和厚之气尚存全璞也」。賛曰：「方壶之阳，翠峨眇緜，扶舆清淑，代産仁贤。若恒简者，抱朴守恬，亹亹令名，奕世犹传。 |
