李仙根字南津，遂宁人。顺治甲午登贤书。辛丑成进士，廷试第二，授翰林院编修。康熙六年，安南黎维禧夺 ，高平莫元清构怨，侵杀维禧，夺高平，元清奔皈朝，闻仙根皈朝滇界也。广西总兵王会奏安南正使 ，以内秘书院侍读加一品服，充勅谕黎氏，移元清于广西南宁府，且致书维禧，责安南臣 工误国十节往复千端。安南君臣始奉诏后累官戸部钱法侍郎，生平工书法 娴文辞，有安南使事，纪要行世。
