《卷三十七王安石变法》
80  | 二月癸酉，复以王安石同平章事。初，吕惠卿迎合安石，建立新法，安石故力援引，骤至执政。惠卿既得志，有射羿之意，忌安石复用，遂欲逆闭其途，凡可以害安石者，无所不用其智。一时朝士见惠卿得君，谓可倾安石以媚惠卿，遂更朋附之。而邓绾、邓润甫因李逢之狱，又挟李士宁以撼安石，安石闻而怨之。时韩绛颛处中书，事多稽留不决，且数与惠卿争论，度不能制，密请帝复用安石，帝从之。惠卿闻之不安，乃条列安石兄弟之失数事，面奏，意欲上意有二。上封惠卿所言以示安石，安石上表，有「忠不足以取信，故事事欲须自明。义不足以胜奸，故人人与之立敌」。盖谓是也。既而安石承召命，即倍道而进，七日至汴京。 |
