1  | 明锺芳撰。芳字仲实，琼山人。正德戊辰进士，官至户部左侍郎。是书以《集要》为名，故文殊简略。中间如谓「春王正月」为建子，谓《桓公三年》书「有年」非纪异，谓《襄公二十八年》书卫侯衎非俟其改过，谓《昭公元年》书败狄大卤非讥毁车崇卒，与胡《传》异者不过数条。馀大抵依回其说。甚至如《僖公十七年》夏灭项，胡《传》误以为季孙者，亦因仍不变，无所短长。又多采董仲舒、刘向、刘歆灾异之说，穿凿事应。至以《宣公八年》之大旱为《十五年》税亩之由，事在七年之后，而应在七年之前，尤为乖谬。其采用《公》、《谷》月日之例，既多附会，而采用《左传》，尤无体例。其最甚者，《庄公二十年》「陈杀公子御寇」下，忽注「晋献公患桓、庄之族逼，而士蒍谮去之」十五字；《僖公二十二年》「宋公伐郑」下，忽附录「被发而祭于野，夷俗皆然」十字；《二十三年》「楚人伐陈」下，忽附录「男女同姓，其生不蕃」八字。此类不可殚数。其采用《左氏》义者，《襄公四年》「叔孙豹如晋」下，惟辨古自歌、工歌二义；《僖公九年》「会于葵丘」下，责宰孔不当阻晋侯；《成公五年》「梁山崩」下，责伯宗之攘善：亦皆与《经》义渺不相关。陈烈《序》乃称其扩前人之所未发，过矣。 |
