1  | 国朝顾镇撰。镇字备九，号古湫，常熟人。常熟，古海虞地。镇居城东，故又自号曰虞东。乾隆甲戌进士，官至宗人府主事。是书大旨，以讲学诸家尊《集传》而抑《小序》，博古诸家又申《小序》而疑《集传》，构衅者四五百年，迄无定论。故作是编，调停两家之说，以解其纷。所徵引凡数十家，而欧阳修、苏辙、吕祖谦、严粲四家所取为多。虽熔铸群言，自为疏解，而义本某人，必于句下注其所出。又《集传》多阐明义理，于名物训诂声音之学皆在所略。镇于是数端，亦一一考证，具有根柢。盖于汉学、宋学之间，能斟酌以得其平。书虽晚出，于读《诗》者不为无裨也。 |
