1  | 明张瑄撰。瑄字延玺，江浦人，正统壬戌进士，官至南京刑部尚书。是编乃天顺八年瑄为广西右布政使时，值广西诸峒蛮构广东肇、高、雷、连土寇为乱。 |
| 2 | 遣左参将范信、都指挥徐宁督官兵四千、土兵一万讨之，以瑄监其军。瑄因述其徵剿始末为此书。始于是年正月初二日，止于三月初九日，逐日纪载。所述当日军政，殊无纪律。盖明人积弱，自其盛时已然，非一朝一夕之故也。 |
