35  | 诏营邯郸宫。冬十月丙辰，帝大狩于祁连池。周师攻晋州。癸亥，帝还晋阳。甲子，出兵，大集晋祠。庚午，帝发晋阳。癸酉，帝列阵而行，上鸡栖原，与周齐王宪相对，至夜不战，周师敛阵而退。十一月，周武帝退还长安，留偏师守晋州。高阿那肱等围晋州城。戊寅，帝至围所。十二月戊申，周武帝来救晋州，庚戌，战于城南，我军大败。帝弃军先还。癸丑，入晋阳，忧惧不知所之。甲寅，大赦。帝谓朝臣曰：「周师甚盛，若何？」群臣咸曰：「天命未改，一得一失，自古皆然。宜停百赋，安慰朝野，收拾遗兵，背城死战，以存社稷。」帝意犹豫，欲向北朔州。乃留安德王延宗、广宁王孝珩等守晋阳。若晋阳不守，即欲奔突厥。群臣皆曰不可，帝不从其言。开府仪同三司贺拔伏恩、封辅相、慕容钟葵等宿卫近臣三十馀人西奔周师。 |
