夏四月，天光至汧、渭之间，汧水出汧县西北而入于渭。汧，口坚翻。停军牧马，宣言：「天时将热，未可行师，俟秋凉更图进止，」获丑奴觇候者，纵遣之。觇，丑廉翻，又丑艳翻。丑奴信之，散衆耕于细川，据令狐德棻《后周书》，百里、细川在岐州北。又据《元丰九域志》，泾州灵台县有百里鎭，盖卽细川之地。细川、平亭当亦相近。使其太尉侯伏侯元进将兵五千，据险立栅，侯伏侯，虏三字姓。将，卽亮翻。其馀千人以下为栅者甚衆。天光知其势分，晡时，密严诸军，相继俱发，黎明，围元进大栅，拔之，所得俘囚，一皆纵遣，诸栅闻之皆降。唐末，高仁厚平阡能等亦用此术。降，户江翻；下同。天光昼夜径进，抵安定城下，贼泾州刺史侯几长贵以城降。侯几，虏复姓。《魏书·官氏志》，内入诸姓有俟几氏。俟、侯字相近。丑奴弃平亭走，欲趣高平，《九域志》：鎭戎军，古高平地也。趣，七喻翻。天光遣贺拔岳轻骑追之，丁卯，及于平凉。贼未成列，直閤代郡侯莫陈崇单骑入贼中，于马上生擒丑奴，因大呼，衆皆披靡，呼，火故翻。披，普彼翻。无敢当者，后骑益集，贼衆崩溃，遂大破之。天光进逼高平，城中执送萧宝寅以降。万俟丑奴，胡琛之将也，普通六年，破魏将崔延伯，其衆始盛。萧宝寅大通元年叛魏，至二年败，奔丑奴，及是皆平。
