39  | 太尉、侍中冯道虽为首相，冯道自唐潞王之时，已正拜三公，晋高祖入洛，用以为相，位任在执政之右。依违两可，无所操决。此冯道保身固位之术，一生所受用者也。操，七刀翻。或谓帝曰：「冯道，承平之良相；今艰难之际，譬如使禅僧飞鹰耳。」言禅以静寂为宗，僧以慈悲不杀为教。为禅僧者，第能机辩无穷，而不能应物，使之飞鹰搏击，非其任也。癸卯，以道为匡国节度使，兼侍中。出冯道镇同州，将别命相也。 |
