79 | 己丑,僧辩上表劝进,上,时掌翻。《考异》曰:《梁·帝纪》:「戊子,王以贼平,告明堂、太社。己丑,僧辩等奉表。」按表文云:「衆军以戊子总集建康,」岂是日告捷,卽能达江陵乎!盖僧辩等以己丑日发表劝进耳。且迎都建业。湘东王答曰:「淮海长鲸,虽云授首;襄阳短狐,未全革面。《禹贡》曰:淮海惟扬州。长鲸,谓侯景。古者伐国,取其鲸鲵以为大戮。岳阳王詧据襄阳,与湘东为敌,故斥为短狐。短狐,蜮也,含沙射人,中之者死。《易》曰:小人革面。太平玉烛,尔乃议之。」《尔雅》:春为青阳,夏为朱明,秋为白藏,冬为玄英;四时和谓之玉烛。《释》云:此释太平之时,四气和畅,以致喜祥之事也。云春为青阳者,言春之气和则青而温阳也。云夏为朱明者,言夏之气和则赤而光明也。云秋为白藏者,言秋之气和则白而收藏也。云冬为玄英者,言冬之气和则黑而清英也。四时和谓之玉烛者,言四时和气,温润明照,故谓之玉烛。李巡云:人君德美如玉而明若烛。《聘义》:君子比德于玉焉。是时人君若德辉动于内,则和气应于外,统而言之,谓之玉烛。 |
