71  | 癸酉，王僧辩等至芜湖，侯景守将张黑弃城走。景闻之，甚惧，下诏赦湘东王绎、王僧辩之罪，衆咸笑之。侯子鉴据姑孰南洲以拒西师，景遣其党史安和等将兵二千助之。三月己巳朔，景下诏欲自至姑孰，又遣人戒子鉴曰：「西人善水战，勿与争锋；往年任约之败，良为此也。去年景与徐文盛水战，亦败走，不特任约也，以故畏之。为，于僞翻。若得步骑一交，必当可破，汝但结营岸上，引船入浦以待之。」子鉴乃舍舟登岸，闭营不出。僧辩等停军芜湖十馀日，景党大喜，告景曰：「西师畏吾之强，势将遁矣，不击，且失之。」景乃复命子鉴为水战之备。复，扶又翻。 |
