50  | 雁门郡丞河东陈孝意与虎贲郎将王智辩共讨刘武周，围其桑乾鎭。桑乾，汉县；后魏为桑乾郡，后周废，隋以为鎭，在马邑郡善阳县界。贲，音奔。将，卽亮翻。乾，音干。壬寅，武周与突厥合兵击智辩，杀之；孝意奔还雁门。三月丁卯，武周袭破楼烦郡，进取汾阳宫，获隋宫人，以赂突厥始毕可汗；厥，九勿翻。可，从刊入声。汗，音寒。始毕以马报之，兵势益振，又攻陷定襄。炀帝改云州为定襄郡。突厥立武周为定杨可汗，言将使之定杨州也。《考异》曰：《新》、《旧唐书》武周皆无国号，惟《创业起居注》云，国号定杨。遗以狼头纛。《隋书》曰：突厥本狼种。牙门建狼头纛，示不忘本也。遗，于季翻。武周卽皇帝位，立妻沮氏为皇后，沮，子余翻。改元天兴。以衞士杨伏念为尚书左仆射，妹壻同县苑君璋为内史令。武周引围兵雁门，陈孝意悉力拒守，乘间出击武周，屡破之；间，古苋翻；下同。旣而外无救援，遣间使诣江都，皆不报。使，疏吏翻。孝意誓以必死，旦夕向诏敕库俯伏流涕，悲动左右。围城百馀日，食尽，校尉张伦杀孝意以降。校，户敎翻。降，户江翻。 |
