王　遴，字继津，霸州人。嘉靖进士，除绍兴推官，迁兵部主事。矜节㮣不妄交，与杨继盛同官相得。杨疏劾严嵩论死，遴为资饘粥，且以女字其次子。及继盛死，收葬之㑹，查核严，効忠严鹄冐功事。嵩子世蕃自为藁属，武选郎周冕，冕发之，反得罪。尚书聂豹惧，趣所司以世蕃藁上。遴力争不可，次日另具一藁呈聂聂，掷扵地曰：「君为君子，豹为小人矣」。竟覆如世蕃稿。嵩父子衘遴次骨，乃摭他事下之诏狱，事白，复官。出为岢岚兵备副使，有威名，为廵抚所忌，劾去。官民相率讼寃，诏许起用。累迁右副都御史，巡抚延绥。大兴屯田，边人赖焉。万歴中，歴户、兵、工三部。尚书陈理财七事，上嘉纳。以忤时相罢归。卒，赠太子太保。天启初，赐諡恭肃。
