二十三年夏四月丁未，大赦。六月癸未朔，日有食之。交州刺史檀和之伐林邑国，克之。是岁，大有年。筑北堤，立元武湖于乐游苑，北兴景阳山于华林园，役重人怨。二十四年春正月甲戍，大赦，赐文武位一等。夏四月，河、济俱清。六月，都下疫疠，使廵省给医药。以货贵制大钱，一当两。秋八月乙未，徐州刺史衡阳王义季薨。冬十一月甲寅，立皇子浑为汝阳王。是岁，徐、兖、青、冀四州大水。二十五年春闰二月己酉，大蒐于宣武塲。三月庚辰，校猎。夏四月乙巳，新作阊阖、广莫二门，改先广莫门曰承明，开阳门曰津阳。五月乙夘，罢当两大钱。六月庚戍，零陵王司马元瑜薨。丙寅，加荆州刺史南谯王义宣位司空。八月甲子，立皇子彧为淮阳王。九月辛未，以尚书右仆射何尚之为尚书左仆射。冬，青州城南逺望见地中如水有影，谓之地镜」。

七年春正月戊辰，车驾次东雍，禽薛永宗斩之，其男女无少长皆赴水死。辛未，南幸汾隂，葢吴退走北地。二月丙戍，幸长安，存问父老。丁亥，幸昆明池，遂田于岐山之阳，所过诛与葢吴通谋反害守将者。三月，诏诸州坑沙门，毁诸佛像，徙长安城内工巧三千家于京师。夏四月甲申，车驾至自长安。戊子，毁邺城五层，佛图于泥像中得玉玺二，其文皆曰「受命于天」，既夀永昌，其一刻其旁曰：「魏所受汉𫝊国玺」。五月，葢吴复聚杏城，自号秦地王。丙戍，发司、幽、定、冀四州十万人筑畿上塞围，起上谷，西至于河，广袤皆千里。六月癸未朔，日有蚀之。秋八月，盖吴为其下人所杀，𫝊首京师，复略阳公羯儿王爵。八年春正月癸未，行幸中山。三月，河西王沮渠牧犍谋反，伏诛。夏五月，车驾还宫。六月，西征诸将扶风公处真等八将坐盗没军资所在，虏掠赃各千万计，并斩之。秋八月，乐安王范薨。冬十一月，侍中、中书监、宜都王穆夀薨。十二月，晋王伏罗薨。
