二年春正月丙子朔，日有食之。丁未，大赦。二月辛卯，清河王覃为东海王越所害。庚子，石勒寇常山，安北将军王浚讨破之。三月，东海王越镇鄄城。刘渊侵汲郡，畧有顿邱、河内之地。王弥寇青、徐、兖、豫四州。夏四月丁亥，入许昌，诸郡守将皆奔走。五月甲子，弥遂寇洛阳，司徒王衍帅衆御之，弥退走。秋七月甲辰，刘渊寇平阳，太守宋抽奔京师，河东太守路述力战，死之。八月丁亥，东海王越自鄄城迁屯于濮阳。九月，石勒寇赵郡，征北将军和郁自邺奔于卫国。冬十月甲戌，刘渊僭帝号于平阳，仍称汉。十一月乙巳，尚书令髙光卒。丁卯，以太子少傅荀藩为尚书令。己酉，石勒寇邺，魏郡太守王粹战败，死之。十二月辛未朔，大赦。立长沙王乂子硕为长沙王，尠为临淮王。
