| 35 | 燮字彦威，苍梧广信人。父赐，桓帝时为日南太守。燮少逰学京师，好左氏春秋，为之批注。又通尚书大义。父丧，阕，举茂才，除巫令。迁交趾太守。谦恭下士，汉避乱者多往依焉。献帝闻其贤，赐玺书褒谕，以为绥南中郎将，领交趾太守如故。建安末，燮遣子廞质于吴，又以珠贝、犀象及香果之珍羙者遗孙权。权嘉之，封龙编侯。弟三人壹、?、武，并为郡长。燮既学问优博，又达于从政，处大乱之世，保全一郡二十馀年，疆场无事，民皆乐业，威尊无上，出入鸣钟，磬备威仪，笳箫鼓吹，车骑满道，常有数十妻妾乗辎軿，当时贵重威震南蛮，尉佗不足数也。魏黄初七年，王薨，寿九十，在治四十馀年。孙权闻王死，析合浦以北属广州，吕岱为刺史；合浦以南为交州，戴良为刺史。以陈时代王为太守。王子徽等发兵共拒良，后吕岱皆以计诛之，传首武昌。 |
