帝以星变心疑大臣擅政，孚敬因求罢，犹慰留之，给事中赵良弼劾孚敬専横窃威福，致奸星示异，亟宜罢黜。孚敬疏辨，言良弼以滥举京营官夺俸，由臣拟㫖，挟私报复，于是给事中秦鳌劾孚敬强辨饰奸，言官论列，辄文致其罪，拟㫖不宻引以自归，明示中外，若天子权在其掌握。帝是鳌言，令孚敬自陈状，许之致任，李时请给廪𨽻敇书，不许，再请，乃得驰，传归。质实，魏良弼，字师说，新建人。秦鳌，字子元，昆山人。
