88  | 梁士济，字遂良，南海人。天啓进士，授奉新令，调清江，㑹楚中用兵，刍饷徵给，拮据应办。壬申，峒寇作，分守道欲撤城外居民，持不可，曰：「脱寇至，燔之无怨矣」。乃自出简精锐扼诸河上，民赖以安。又置学田赡士，请广弟子员及科举例，士子翕然归之。擢监察御史秦镛，字大音，无锡人。崇祯进士，清江令。邑素佥富民为马戸，富民窜入，胥吏希免。累及贫戸，镛以胥吏佥而给其直。民困顿苏，剧盗啸聚沃塲等处，以计擒斩之。筑梅家畲，建义仓，厘正祀典，作五劝四诫歌，以教民力穑。内升御史。 |
