12  | 按：程廷珙所著有《贞菴集》十二卷、《广西省志》八卷。孙需字孚吉，原贞之孙，成化进士，为常州府推官，擢南京御史，偕同官劾僧继晓忤，㫖予杖，出为四川副使。𢎞治中，累官右副都御史，廵抚河南。岁凶，汴河啮城，需募民筑堤，堤成，饥者亦济。镇守中官刘琅贪横，奸民赴琅讼，需论之戍，琅跪请，执不听。琅恨次骨，㑹大臣子横于乡，需裁约之。琅与谋，改需抚陜西。宼大入宁夏，用杨一清代需还，以故官抚治郧阳，抚辑流民，占籍者数万。正德二年召为南京兵部右侍郎，就擢礼部尚书。刘瑾恶需，追论抚河南时事，罚输米于边，勒令致仕。瑾旣诛，起需代张宪为南京工部尚书，就改刑、吏二部。十三年，引年乞休，赐勅乘传去。嘉靖初卒，諡清简。需在蜀时，族弟入其境，檄有司械送归。人以此议其薄，然需故以廉约称。 |
