15  | 曾翬，字时升，泰和人。宣德进士，授刑部主事，进员外郎中，擢广西右叅政，寻以忧去。服阕，起官河南御史。清军者利得军，多枉及民，翬辨释甚衆。南阳诸府多流户，衆议驱逐，人情惶急，翬抚安之。迁山东右布政使。民垦田无赋者，奸民指为闲田，献诸戚畹。部使者来勘，翬曰：「祖制，民垦荒田，永不科税，奈何夺之？」使者奏如言，乃免。召拜刑部左侍郎，寻巡抚浙江，考察官吏，奏罢不职者百馀人，他弊政多所厘革。还朝久之，谢病去。 |
