68  | 袁容，建昌人。父洪，以军功授左军都督，容尚永安公主。成祖起兵，容帅师援永平，下雄县，取汉州，攻真定，命还守北平。经营调度，应机决策，缮修备御，屡立大功。永乐癸未，锡诰劵封奉天靖难推诚宣力武臣、特进光禄大夫、驸马都尉、广平侯、食禄一千五百石，子孙世袭。卒，赠沂国公，諡忠穆。传至成化子瑄嗣，絶。魏源，字文渊，建昌县人。永乐进士，除御史。辨松江知府黄子威诬，奏减浙东濒海渔课。巡按陜西。西安大疫，奏言：「诸府仓粟积一千九十馀万石，足支十年。今民疫妨农，请输钞代两税之半」。从之。洪熙初，升浙江副使。宣徳三年，召署刑部右侍郎。河南旱荒，民多转徙，命为左布政使，发仓廪，免逋赋杂役，雨亦旋降，嵗大丰。召还，授刑部左侍郎，奉命采木四川，兼饰边务。未几，拜刑部尚书。正统二年，命往大同、宣府督察诸将，便宜从事。源遣都指挥李谦守独石，杨洪副之，劾指挥杜衡等，抵大辟，诸将肃然。按行诸险要，令将吏分守。増修开平龙门，城皆甃以甓，自独石抵宣府，増置墩堠，免屯军租一年，储火器为边备。诸依权贵避役者，悉括归伍边务修饰。还朝，按问辽王贵烚事，不称㫖。与何文渊等系诏狱累月，释还职。八年，致仕，寻卒。 |
