16  | 谕朝鲜世子临海君珲居全庆督师，以顾养谦督辽左。 |
| 18 | 十月，总督顾养谦力主撤兵，许之。因疏请封贡，上命九卿、科、道会议。时御史杨绍程奏：「臣考之太祖时，屡却倭贡，虑至深远。永乐间，或一朝贡，渐不如约。自是稔窥内地，频入寇掠。至嘉靖晚年，而东土受祸更烈。岂非封贡为厉阶耶？今关白谬为恭谨，奉表请封之后，我能闭关拒绝乎？中国之衅，必自此始矣。且关白弑主篡国，正天讨之所必加。彼国之人，方欲食其肉而寝处其皮，特劫于威，而未敢动耳。我中国以礼义统御百蛮，而顾令此篡逆之辈叨天朝之名号耶！宜急止封议，敕朝鲜练兵以守之，我兵撤还境上以待之，关白可计日而败也。」是时，廷臣礼部郎中何乔远、科道赵完璧、王德完、逯中立、徐观澜、顾龙、陈维芝、唐一鹏等，交章止封。而蓟辽都御史韩取善亦疏：「倭情未定，请罢封贡。」兵部尚书石星恐不能羁縻关白，甚张皇，终主封贡不已。 |
