29  | 八月，定远侯石彪有罪下狱。彪之出镇大同也，御寇磨儿山，斩犯秃王，搴其衣甲旗帜，大败之三山墩，以功封定远伯，召还。其明年，寇屯贺兰山，又使彪往。彪与寇战安边营，追至昌平墩，大败之埜马涧、半坡墩。转战六十馀里，斩果力赤平章，擒获无算。又召还，进侯。彪至京，会北使入贡者见彪于朝，罗拜称「石王」，其威望如此。然性阴狡凶暴，在大同素侮总兵官。总兵官因彪尝奏城威宁海子，遂为流言，称彪有异志。上固疑彪，屡有功，屡召还。彪乃阴使大同千户杨斌等五十人诣阙，乞留为镇守。上知其诈，下彪狱，词连亨，上犹念亨功，宥之。惟罢其兵权，令以本籍归第。 |
