4  | 六月，大学士李贤等奏：「河套与延绥接境，原非敌人巢穴。今毛里孩居处其中，出没不常。苟欲安边，必须大举而后可。乞令兵部会官博议，进兵搜剿，务在尽绝。其总制将官与凡出兵事宜，俱预处请画。又秋禾方熟，彼必入掠。而延绥、鄜、庆、环县一带，宜推选武将一人，统步骑精兵万人守御，庶几有备无患。」于是兵部尚书王复同孙继宗等集议，以「大同总兵杨信旧镇延绥，稔知地利，宜召还京，面受成算。其陕西、宁夏、延绥、甘、凉、大同、宣府镇巡诸官，亦宜敕令整饬兵备，候期调发」。帝允所拟，遂召信还，以修武伯沈煜代之。乃敕陕西巡抚项忠、太监裴当、总兵杨信协谋征剿河套。 |
