戊午，刘光逺、曹勋辞于内殿，遂命持金帅报书以行。《绍兴讲和録》：皇朝答书：「某启：季秋霜冷，伏惟太保、左丞相、侍中、都元帅、领省国公台，候起居万福，军国任重，仰劳经画，莫将等囘，特承惠书，祇荷记存，不胜感激。某昨蒙上国皇帝推不世之恩，日夜思念，不知所以图报，故遣使奉表，以修事大之礼，至于奏槀干请，乃是尽诚，不敢有隠，从与未从，谨以聼命，不谓上国遽起大兵，直渡浊河，逹逾淮浦，下国恐惧，莫知所措，夫贪生畏死，乃人之常情，将士临危，致失常度，虽加诛戮，有不能禁也。今闻兴问罪之师，先事以告，仰见爱念至厚，未忍弃絶下国，君臣既畏且感，専遣广州观察使、武功县开国子、食邑五百户刘光逺、成州团练使、武功县开国子曹勋，往布情恳，望太保、左丞相、侍中、都元帅、领首国公，特为敷奏，曲加寛宥，许邉使人，请命阙下，生灵之幸，下国之愿，非所敢望也，惟祈留神，加察幸甚！向寒切，冀保重，有少礼物具于别封，伏乞容纳不宣」。　左正议大夫、尚书兵部侍郎赵彬卒，赠左金紫光禄大夫。
