丁未，起复太尉、湖北京西宣抚使。岳飞乞解官持馀服，飞与宰相张浚异论，归过江州，上疏自言与宰相议不合，求解帅事，遂弃军而庐墓，上不许。日厯止书进呈岳飞求解帅事，更无他语，今以诸书㕘考，増入熊克小厯，称张浚与飞议不合，飞䘮母乞持服，乃弃军去，居江州庐山，误也。飞丁忧在去年四月，此行盖自建康西上道过江州，因入庐山耳。岳侯传云：「秦桧当国，方主和议，侯申奏乞持母服弃军权，居庐山，桧遂举张宗元为宣抚判官、监军事，诏侯赴行在」。此益误桧明年冬方独相，十一年夏飞方赴行在，今不取。　观文殿大学士、左银青光禄大夫、江南西路安抚制置大使、兼知洪州李纲特迁左金紫光禄大夫。时纲遣本司干办公事韩异奉表问上起居，且上疏论时事，略曰：「愿陛下益广圣志，与神为谋，日新其徳，勿以去冬骤胜而自怠，勿以目前粗定而自安，凡可以致中兴之治者无不为，凡可以害中兴之功者，无不去有所规画，措置必以天下为度，必以施于长乆，可传于后世为法，则中兴不难致矣。夫中兴之于用兵，止是一事，要以修政事，信赏罚，明是非，别邪正，招徕人材，鼓作士气，爱惜民力，顺导衆心为先，数者既备，则士奋于朝，农安于野，榖粟充盈，财用不匮，将帅辑睦，士卒乐战，用兵其有不胜者哉？」疏入，诏纲典藩逾年，民安盗息，故有是命。朱胜非秀水闲居録云：张浚荐李纲帅豫章以报之，未至也，荐其弟维及其腹心邹柄等，皆立于朝，又以所荐陈公辅为谏官。居顷之，议者谓靖康伏阙之变，乃公辅为纲谋，不当在言路。纲闻而惧，抗章丐罢，浚又思所以安之缪言。江西盗息，民安转纲官为金紫光禄大夫。是时䖍吉盗炽，旁郡亦扰，欺罔如此。　上召异入见，进一官遣还。异，侯官人也。
