83  | 曹于汴，字自梁，安邑人。万厯十九年举乡试第一。明年成进士，授淮安推官。擢吏科给事中。疏劾两京兵部尚书田乐、邢玠及云南巡抚陈用宾，乐玠遂引去。疏雪，吏部郎赵邦清谒告归，僦屋以居，不蔽风日起。歴刑科左、右给事中。朝房灾，请急补阙官，修废政。进吏科都给事中。极论中官陈永夀罪故事，章疏入，㑹极门，直达御前。至是，中官必启视，力请禁之。三十八年典外察。明年典京察，力持东林议。衆不能夺，移疾归。光宗初，以太常少卿召，改大理少卿，迁左佥都御史，佐赵南星。京察，进左副都御史。天启三年秋，副推吏部右侍郎，中㫖特用于汴。于汴以首推冯从吾名位先已，义不可越，四辞不得，遂引疾归。明年起南京右都御史，辞不拜。石三畏劾为东林领袖，遂削夺。崇祯元年，召拜左都御史。振举宪规，约饬僚吏，台中肃然。与大学士韩爌、李标、钱龙锡，刑部尚书乔允升同定逆案。明年京察，忠贤馀党汰几尽。温体仁发钱千秋科场事，以于汴有连，并讦之。于汴亦发体仁欺罔状，不听。吏部尚书王永光力荐故御史高㨗史𡎊于汴恶其人，久弗容。两人竟以部疏起官，遂日夜谋倾于汴中。书原抱竒劾爌及于汴，并及尚书孙居相、侍郎程启南府丞魏光绪，目为「西党」，以五人籍山西也。工部主事陆澄源复劾于汴朋奸六罪。澄源虽谪于汴，卒谢事去。及辞朝，以敦大进规。七年卒，年七十七。赠太子太保。于汴笃志正学，操履粹白，立朝正色不阿，崇奬名教，著《仰节堂集》。学者称真予先生。 |
