6  | 永和二年夏四月，茂虔遣使上表于宋，并告嗣位曰：「臣闻功以济物为务一作高字，非竹帛无以述徳；名以当实为美，非谥号无以休终。先臣蒙逊西复凉城，泽憺昆裔，芟夷群暴，清洒区夏。暨运锺有道，备大宋之宗臣；爵班九服，享惟永之丕祚。功名昭著，克固贞节。考终由正，而请铭之路无阶；懿迹虽弘，而述叙之美有阙。臣子感痛，咸用不安。谨按谥法，克定祸乱曰武，善闻周达曰宣。先臣廓清河外，勋光天府，标榜称迹，实并斯义，辄上谥为武宣王。若允天聴，垂之史笔，则幽显荷荣，始终无恨今。」遣使臣上表以闻。五月戊寅，宋遣使下诏曰：「故使持节、侍中、都督秦河沙凉四州诸军事、车骑大将军、开府仪同三司、领护匈奴中郎将、西夷校尉、凉州牧、河西王蒙逊才兼文武，勋济西服，爰自万里，欵诚夙著，方仗忠果，翼宣逺略，奄至薨殒，凄悼于怀。便遣使吊祭，并加显谥。嗣子茂虔，纂戎前轨，乃心弥彰，宜蒙宠授，绍兹藩业。可持节、散骑常侍、都督凉秦河沙四州诸军事、征西大将军、领护匈奴中郎将、西夷校尉、凉州刺史、河西王悉如故。」 |
