十四年，简王崩，子灵王泄心立。灵王二十四年，齐崔杼弑其君庄公。

二十七年，灵王崩，集解皇览曰：「灵王冢在河南城西南柏亭西周山上。盖以灵王生而有髭，而神，故谥灵王。其冢，民祀之不绝。」子景王贵立。索隐名贵。按国语景王二十一年铸大钱及无射，单穆公及泠州鸠各设辞以谏。今此不言，亦其疏略耳。景王十八年，后太子圣而早卒。二十年，景王爱子朝，集解贾逵曰：「景王之长庶子。」欲立之，正义左传云：「子朝用成周之宝圭沈于河，津人得诸河上。」杜预云：「祷河求福也，圭自出水也。」按：河神不敢受故。会崩，集解皇览曰：「景王冢在洛阳太仓中。秦封吕不韦洛阳十万户，故大其城并围景王冢也。」子丐之党与争立，国人立长子猛为王，子朝攻杀猛。猛为悼王。晋人攻子朝而立丐，是为敬王。集解贾逵曰：「敬王，猛母弟。」
