135  | 十一月庚申，会推阁员成基命、钱谦益、王永光、郑以伟、李腾芳、孙慎行、何如宠等。寻礼部尚书温体仁衔钱谦益，密讦天启初谦益主试浙江，贿中钱千秋，不宜枚卜；癸亥，召廷臣及体仁、谦益于文华殿相质辨。良久，上曰：『体仁所言神奸结党，谁也』？曰：『谦益党与甚众，臣不敢尽言！即枚卜之典，俱自谦益主持』。吏科给事中章允儒曰：『体仁望轻，如纠谦益，何不在枚卜先』？体仁曰：『以卜相事大，不得不为皇上慎』。允儒曰：『朋党之说，小人以陷君子，先朝可鉴』！上叱之，遂下锦衣卫狱，削籍。礼部以钱千秋试卷呈；上责谦益引罪而出，命谦益回籍——旋除名为民。下千秋于锦衣卫狱。周延儒亦曰：『自来会推、会议，止以祖宗故事，实皆一、二人主持，馀无所言；即言出而祸随之矣』。上大称善。 |
