| 17 | 子忠，一名丹，字道母，别号青蚓，山东莱阳人，寄籍顺天。为诸生，负异才。作画意趣在晋、唐之间，不屑袭宋、元窠臼。人物士女尤胜，董其昌称之，谓非近代所有。以金帛请者不应，家居常绝食。史可法赠以马，售得金，呼友痛饮，一日而金尽。为诗古文，奥博奇崛。遭乱，走居土室中，遂穷饿以死。其后画人物士女最著者，曰禹之鼎、馀集、改琦、费丹旭。 |
| 19 | 集，字秋室，浙江钱塘人。乾隆三十一年进士。工画士女，时称曰「余美人」，廷试，当得大魁，因此抑之。寻充四库全书纂修，荐授翰林院编修，累擢侍读。所作风神静朗，无画史气，为世所重，比诸仇、唐遗迹。 |
