《卷48 史部·编年类存目》

明许诰撰。诰自号函谷山人，灵宝人，吏部尚书进之子，文渊阁大学士赞之兄，兵部尚书论之弟。弘治己未进士。官至南京户部尚书。谥庄敏。事迹附见《明史·许进传》。是书以司马光《通鉴》、朱子《纲目》皆不直接《春秋》，中间阙七十馀年之事。金履祥《通鉴前编》，书法又多舛迕。乃重辑是编，以订讹补阙。其中如辨宋昭公非周元孙，魏文侯未弑晋幽公，赵鞅、赵无恤之卒岁《史记》并误，亦小有考证。而摹仿《春秋》过甚，拘文牵义，往往画虎不成。

明许进撰。进字秀升，灵宝人，成化丙戌进士，官至兵部尚书，谥襄毅，事迹具《明史》本传。初，弘治七年，土鲁番阿黑麻攻陷哈密，执忠顺王陕巴去。

进为甘肃巡抚，潜师袭复其城。致仕后因检阅奏稿案牍，编为此书。嘉靖九年，其子诰疏进于朝，诏付史馆。其述用兵始末及西番情事颇详。今《明史》《土鲁番》、《哈密》诸传，大略本之于此。
